Refugee and migrant populations are highly diverse, with significant variation in life experiences, health needs and access to health care. The standards described out...line expected behaviours of health workers in delivering quality care to refugees and migrants and can be used to inform the outcomes of education programmes aligned with standards for care. The Competency Standards is designed to provide a foundation to support the development of competency-based curricula tailored to the local context and for health workers to achieve a minimum level of competence. The Knowledge Guide is designed for educators and health workers to assist in designing or integrating learning content to enable attainment of the identified knowledge, skills and attitudes.

MiMi-Gewaltprävention ist ein bundesweites Projekt mit dem Anliegen, geflüchtete und neu zugewanderte Frauen, Mädchen und Kinder (auch unbegleitete Minderjährige) vor jeder Form von Gewalt zu schützen. Mittlerweile sensibilisieren wir in Infoveranstaltungen auch Männer und Eltern für das Them...a Gewaltprävention. Das Projekt setzt dafür insbesondere an der Stärkung der Selbsthilfepotentiale der Betroffenen durch Empowerment und durch eine kultur- und sprachsensible Vermittlung von Schutz-, Präventions- und Handlungsmöglichkeiten an.
Mit diesen MiMi-Lernressourcen stellen wir Euch als MiMi-MediatorIn oder als Fachkraft das Wissen und die Erfahrung aus fünf Projektjahren und über 2.500 Infoveranstaltungen zur Gewaltprävention mit geflüchteten Menschen in komprimierter und lerndidaktisch aufbereiteter Form zur Verfügung.

Die gemeinsame Befragung von UNHCR und UNICEF Deutschland gibt einen Einblick in die Bildungssituation begleiteter asylsuchender Kinder in Erstaufnahmeeinrichtungen und sogenannten AnkER-Zentren (Ankunfts-, Entscheidungs- und Rückkehr-Einrichtungen) in sieben Bundesländern. Sie zeigt auch die Ausw...irkungen der Covid-19-Pandemie auf den Zugang zur Regelbildung geflüchteter und migrierter Kinder.
Basierend auf den Ergebnissen der Befragung haben UNHCR und UNICEF Deutschland Empfehlungen zum Zugang zu Bildung von asylsuchenden Kindern in Erstaufnahmeeinrichtungen formuliert.

The early prevention project “Strong together!” supports refugee parents and their young children (0–4 years) in Berlin, Germany. It aims to mitigate the transmission of trauma to the generation born in exile. For refugee families who have only recently arrived in Germany, the COVID‐19 pande...mic poses a particularly great challenge. Not only are they confronted with numerous challenges in respect to rebuilding their lives in Germany after fleeing war and persecution, but are also vulnerable to conscious and unconscious anxieties, fantasies, and conflicts evoked by the pandemic and the threat it poses to their lives. This was observed in the context of the mother–child groups of “Strong together!”

Seit über einem Jahr hat die Corona-Pandemie große Veränderungen für alle Menschen in nahezu jedem Lebensbereich herbeigeführt. Geflüchtete in (Erst-) Aufnahmeeinrichtungen und Gemeinschaftsunterkünften sind in besonderem Maße von der Pandemie betroffen, da die vorgefundenen Wohnbedingungen ...einen kaum ausreichenden Schutz zulassen. Obwohl gerade die Bewohner*innen von Sammelunterkünften dem Virus stark ausgesetzt sind, hat diese Gruppe nicht ausreichend Beachtung und Schutz gefunden. Ergriffene Maßnahmen wie etwa Kollektiv- oder auch Kettenquarantänen haben die Lebensbedingungen der Bewohner*innen noch weiter erschwert, mit gravierenden Auswirkungen auf das Asylverfahren, Gesundheit, Beruf, Ausbildung und Schule und so letztendlich auch auf ihre soziale Teilhabe.
