Цель: оценить этиологическую структуру симптоматической эпилепсии, возрастную структуру периода манифестации заболевания, среднюю длительность латентного пери...да среди детей с различным характером повреждений, зависимость частоты приступов от характера повреждения. Материал и методы. Изучались 180 медицинских карт пациентов, имевших симптоматическую и криптогенную формы заболевания. Анализ заключался в оценке анамнестических данных, параметров ЭЭГ-исследований и нейровизуализации. Результаты. Установлено преобладание гипоксически-ишемической энцефалопатии в этиологической структуре заболевания. Возраст манифестации чаще приходился на период от года до 3 лет. Наиболее частой локализаци-
ей эпилептогенного очага явилась область височной и лобной доли. Наиболее длительный латентный период отмечен при ЧМТ, а наиболее короткий — при нейроинфекциях и последствиях внутриутробных инфекций. Заключение. Симптоматическая эпилепсия у детей является многофакторным заболеванием, течение и проявление которого в значительной мере зависят от инициального повреждения, вызвавшего данную патологию.

The report provides statistical evidence relating to the prevalence of dis...ability and characteristics of persons with disabilities at both individual and household levels. Two methods were used to profile disability prevalence and patterns based on the six functional domains, namely seeing, hearing, communication, remembering/concentrating, walking and self-care. These two methods were:
- the level/degree of difficulty in a specific functional domain and;
- the disability index.

The main purpose of the training package is to develop the minimum skills and knowledge required by personnel involved in wheelchair service delivery. An important aim of the training package is to get it integrated into the regular paramedical/rehabilitation training programs such as physiotherapy,... occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, rehabilitation nursing. Towards this, WHO is posting the whole training package in the Website for the training institutes and wheelchair service providers. Disabled people in developing countries are the poorest of the poor: if we are serious about tackling extreme poverty, our development work has to target them. The post-2015 development framework offers hope that disabled people will finally get the prominence they deserve on the global development ...agenda. But this will only be possible with sustained political pressure, and the UK’s position will only be credible if it leads by example in its own development work. Disabled people experience some of the most extreme poverty in the world, but there are also realistic opportunities for donors to turn the situation around.

Purpose of the training
The need for wheelchair personnel is universal. WSTP-I is designed to support the training of personnel or volunteers to provide an appropriate manual wheelchair and cushion for children and adults who need additional postural support to sit upright. The main purpose of this training package is to:
increase the number of wheelchair users who receive a wheelchair which meets their needs;
increase the number of personnel trained in intermediate level wheelchair service delivery;
improve the competencies of wheelchair service delivery personnel;
increase the quality of wheelchair service delivery for people who need a comparatively higher level of intervention than basic level;
include this training package in regular paramedical/rehabilitation training programmes;
achieve greater integration of wheelchair service delivery within rehabilitation services.

The aim with this study was to examine in what amount disabled children in South Africa can live a participating life in society, with focus on special needs schools and their capability to empower the children. The data material has been collected through eight qualitative interviews, and observati...ons at seven special needs schools in the country. Through my result I have distinguished three main roads to empower the children: First, to analyze social structures, secondly, to gain knowledge and awareness, and thirdly, to strengthen the children’s self-esteem. I have also analyzed the structural barriers that are hindering disabled children to participate, and illustrated this by describing social policies and their effect on special needs schools in South Africa.
