The principle Life and Dignity of the Human Person is one of the seven themes of ...tribute-to-highlight medbox">Catholic social teaching (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) . We believe that God created man and woman in his image (Genesis 1:26–27) and because of this all people have inherent dignity . There is nothing anyone can do to gain or take away their human dignity, since it is God given, not earned . Because of this, we believe that every life is sacred and that no life—born or unborn—is disposable . All of the principles of Catholic social teaching flow from the core belief that every person has inherent dignity that must be respected .

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops(USCCB) have identified sevencore themes in ...tribute-to-highlight medbox">Catholic Social Teaching (CST). The CST Bible Study is an eight week program exploring those themes. The first week is an introductionto CST and weekstwo through eight are sessionson each of theseven themes. This study may be adapted to meet the needs of a given group. For example, the group can meet weekly for eightweeks or monthly for eight months (ideal for a school year). Each session is approximately one hour long.

A workshop methodology for children, young people and adults
The “Tree of Life” is a psychosocial support tool based on narrative practices that is designed to help participants accept the hard...ships of their past and identify the strengths that can help them achieve a better future. It uses the different parts of a tree as metaphors to represent the different parts of our lives. The workshop generally takes one day.
Participants draw their own “Tree of Life” in which they get to speak of their ‘roots” (where they come from), their skills and knowledge, their hopes and dreams and the special people in their lives
