The entry for each species includes the Latin binomial, author(s), common Myanmar and English names, range, medicinal uses and preparations, and additional notes. Of the 472 species, 63 or 13% of them have been assessed for conservation status and are listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (IUCN 2017). Two species are listed as Extinct in the Wild, four as Threatened (two Endangered, two Vulnerable), two as Near Threatened, 48 Least Concerned, and seven Data Deficient. Botanic gardens worldwide hold 444 species (94%) within their living collections, while 28 species (6%) are not found any botanic garden. Notre pays, le Bénin, ayant souscrit à ce programme en 2007, l’OMS a commis des experts qui ont
procédé à l’évaluation des fonctions essentielles du secteur pharmaceutique public béninois.
De l’analyse des résultats de cette évaluation réalisée conformément aux normes admises par
l’OMS en la matière, il ressort qu’en République du Bénin, la gestion des produits
pharmaceutiques dans le secteur public présente une vulnérabilité modérée à la corruption.
Sur les six (06) fonctions ayant fait l’objet de l’évaluation, seule celle liée au contrôle de la
promotion des médicaments présente une forte vulnérabilité à la corruption en raison de la faible
note de 3,428 sur 10 dont elle a été créditée.

Cancellation of scheduled surgery leads to operating theatre under-occupancy and is recognised as a major cause of emotional trauma to patients and their families. This study aimed to assess the incidence of elective surgery cancellation in order to make proposals for healthcare improvement.
