Selon les données partagées par CONASUR dans le mois de mars de 2020, le Burkina Faso compte avec près de 840 000 personnes déplacées internes à cause de la crise d’insécurité. Les régions du CentreNord, le Sahel et le Nord, enregistrent les chiffres des population...s déplacées internes plus hautes. À cette situation assez complexe en termes de besoins humanitaires, s’ajoute la déclaration d’urgence sanitaire à cause de la pandémie du COVID-19.

Les retours d’information de la communauté présentés dans le présent rapport ont été recueillis par le biais des personnes chargées de l’engagement communautaire et de la redevabilité (CEA) dans 10pays africains, et grâce à la collecte de données primaires.Il a été demandé aux pers...onnes chargées du CEA de la Société nationale de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge de partager les principales rumeurs, observations, croyances, questions ou suggestions qu’ils entendent dans leur pays et de les classer par ordre de fréquence. Les chargés de mission du CEA ont fourni des informations de cette manière aux pays suivants: Afrique du Sud, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroun, Niger.

L’analyse des besoins humanitaires en Haïti a révélé que plus de 4,4 millions d’Haïtiens et d’Haïtiennes, soit environ 40% de la population, auront besoin d’une assistance humanitaire en 2021.
L’année 2020 a été une année particulièrement difficile pour la population de la République démocratique du Congo (RDC). Les conflits armés, les épidémies, les catastrophes naturelles ainsi que l’impact socio-économique de la COVID-19 ont considérablement exacerbé les vulnérabilit...s déjà existantes dans un contexte marqué par un manque criant d’accès aux services essentiels pour une grande majorité de la population. La RDC, le plus grand pays d'Afrique subsaharienne et le troisième le plus peuplé, avec une population estimée à 103 millions, demeure confrontée à l'une des crises humanitaires les plus graves au monde.

Il est également aligné au Pl...an Cadre des Nations Unies de Coopération au Développement Durable (UNSDCF) et adossé aux cinq piliers du Programme cadre des NU pour la réponse socioéconomique immédiate au COVID-19, développé par UNDG, qui fait référence au rapport du SG des NU intitulé « Solidarité mondiale, responsabilité partagée : impacts socioéconomiques de la COVID-19 ».

La pandémie causée par le coronavirus s’est propagée au Niger le 19 mars, date de la notification du premier cas. A la date du 21 juillet 2020, le pays avait enregistré 1 113 cas, dont 1 1018 guéris, 26 sous traitement et 69 décès. Selon l’analyse des données effectuée par le Ministère... de la santé publique, la pandémie a atteint un pic le 9 avril avec 69 cas enregistrés en une journée pour ensuite connaitre une courbe descendante. Cette tendance se maintient en dépit de la progression de la pandémie à Zinder, ainsi que dans les régions d’Agadez et de Diffa, qui étaient, jusqu’au 30 avril 2020, les seules régions épargnées par la COVID-19, et le fait que 169 agents de santé, soit 18,4% de cette catégorie de personnel, figurent parmi les cas confirmés.
