Ce document résume les orientations actuelles de l'OMS pour la surveillance mondiale de la COVID-19 chez l'homme, due à une infection par le nouveau coronavirus 2019. Ces orientations sont à lire en se référant aux orientations de l'OMS sur les activit...és de préparation opérationnelle et de riposte, dans lesquelles l'identification et le dépistage actifs des cas, ainsi que la recherche des contacts sont fortement recommandés dans tous les scénarios de transmission. La notification globale des cas doit être considérée comme une mesure provisoire uniquement lorsque la notification des cas individuels n'est pas possible. L’OMS continuera de mettre à jour ces orientations au fur et à mesure que de nouvelles informations sur la COVID-19 seront disponibles.

Le présent document résume les orientations de santé publique actuelles de l’OMS pour la surveillance de la maladie à coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) chez l’homme due à une infection par le coronavirus 2 du syndrome respiratoire aigu sévère (SARS-Co...V-2) (ci-après désignée « surveillance de la COVID-19 »).

La méningite est mortelle et débilitante ; elle frappe brutalement ; elle a de graves conséquences sanitaires, économiques et sociales et touche tous les âges de la vie dans tous les pays du monde. La méningite bactérienne peut être à l’origine d’épidémies, entraîner la mort dans les... 24 heures et un patient sur cinq peut rester handicapé à vie à la suite d’une infection. La plupart des cas et des décès dus à la méningite pourraient être évités par la vaccination mais les progrès obtenus pour la vaincre sont bien moins rapides que ceux réalisés contre d’autres maladies à prévention vaccinale.

L'environnement est donc un facteur majeur de la santé des enfants et offre d'importantes possibilités d'amélioration dont les effets se manifestent dans toutes les régions du monde.

L'objectif de cette publication est de fournir une approche pratique et progressive pour la mise en œuvre des plans d'action nationaux sur la RAM dans le secteur de la santé humaine ; et de fournir un processus et une compilation des outils existants de l'OMS pour prioriser, chiffrer, mettre en œ...uvre, suivre et évaluer les activités des plans d'action nationaux. Le public cible de cette publication est constitué des parties prenantes nationales/subnationales travaillant sur la RAM dans le secteur de la santé humaine. Il s'agit notamment des autorités sanitaires nationales, des groupes nationaux de coordination multisectorielle, des experts techniques de haut niveau et des décideurs impliqués dans la mise en œuvre des activités liées à la RAM à tous les niveaux du système de santé, ainsi que des partenaires de mise en œuvre afin d'accélérer la mise en œuvre, le suivi et l'évaluation durables des plans d'action nationaux sur la RAM.

Un évènement de santé publique grave (PHE) consiste en une flambée quelconque ou en toute
autre situation en évolution rapide qui peut avoir un impact négatif sur la santé humaine et exiger

...encore entraîné la maladie chez l’homme mais susceptible de la causer à travers une exposition à
des environnements, des produits manufacturés, des animaux, de l’eau ou de la nourriture infectés
ou contaminés. Le Règlement sanitaire international (2005) entend par «risque pour la santé
publique», «la probabilité d’un événement qui peut nuire à la santé des populations humaines,
plus particulièrement d’un événement pouvant se propager au niveau international ou présenter
un danger grave et direct.»

La filariose lymphatique (FL) est une maladie évitable, incapacitante et défigurante, due à une infestation par des filaires parasites des espèces Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi et B. timori. On estime que 51,4 millions de personnes sont infectées dans le monde. Le lymphœdème et l’hydr...ocèle sont les conséquences cliniques chroniques visibles de l’altération des vaisseaux lymphatiques causée par la présence de
ces parasites dans l’organisme. Les parasites sont transmis d’une personne à l’autre par l’intermédiaire de moustiques des genres Culex, Anopheles, Mansonia et Aedes. L’année 2020 a marqué la 20e année du Programme mondial pour l’élimination de la filariose lymphatique (GPELF) établi par l’OMS, dont l’objectif est de mettre fin à la transmission de l’infection grâce à l’administration de masse de médicaments
(AMM) et d’alléger les souffrances des malades par la prise en charge de la morbidité et la prévention des incapacités (PMPI).
