Les lignes directrices sont organisées autour de huit principes clés correspondant au déroulement du contrat d'un membre du personnel. Le diagramme ci-joint représente visuellement les principes. Chaque principe est accompagné d'indicateurs, de commentaires et d'études de cas de...stinés à aider le lecteur à mieux comprendre les concepts sur lesquels les principes sont fondés et la manière dont ils peuvent être mis en pratique. Les principes et les indicateurs sont destinés à s'appliquer au personnel international et national ainsi qu'au personnel de bureau et de terrain, en reconnaissant que des ajustements peuvent être nécessaires pour tenir compte des besoins et des caractéristiques uniques de chaque groupe et de l'organisation. Ils constituent un outil d'apprentissage, de réflexion et de planification plutôt qu'un ensemble de règles ou de solutions rigides applicables en toutes circonstances.

Les résultats provisoires du recensement de la population réalisé en 2008 et en particulier celui des personnes handicapées montrent l'étendue des besoins et la nécessité de poursuivre nos actions pour améliorer les conditions de vie de ces personnes au Burundi.

Ce plan stratégique 2013- 2017 s’inscrit dans la continuité du précédent et a pour but de contribuer à la réduction de la charge de la tuberculose au Sénégal d’ici 2015 conformément aux Objectifs du Millénaire (OMD 6 Cible 8) et aux cibles du partenariat Halte à la tuberculose.
Les i...nterventions porteront, principalement, sur les orientations stratégiques déclinées lors de la revue externe. Elles seront axées sur la poursuite d’une stratégie DOTS de qualité, le renforcement des interventions communautaires et la prise en charge des grands défi s (TB/VIH, TBMR, TB de l’enfant et le contrôle de l’infection). Durant cette période, l’implication des prestataires du privé sera accentuée et des stratégies de communication porteuses d’impact seront menées.
L’atteinte des objectifs de ce plan stratégique nécessitera une importante mobilisation de ressources et un plaidoyer fort sera mené auprès de tous les partenaires du secteur santé et en dehors.

Elle s’articulera autour de trois points essentiels : la gouvernance sanitaire au Sénégal (première partie), cette analyse nous permettra de comprendre mieux l’organisation et le fonctionnement du système de santé au Sénégal afin d’avoir une meilleure appréhension de l’offre de soins... dans la communauté rurale de Yène (deuxième partie). L’utilisation des services de santé de base est l’un des facteurs clefs favorisant une meilleure santé des populations. Conceptuellement, si la qualité des services est l’une des explications du niveau d’utilisation, cette étude a essayé de montrer aussi l’importance d’un ensemble d...’autres facteurs qui devraient être pris en compte pour améliorer la fréquentation des services de santé. Les résultats de cette étude indiquent que pour le dernier épisode de maladie, plus de 92% des malades ont recouru à différentes structures des soins modernes et 7,4% ont fait recours à la médecine traditionnelle. Pour la santé maternelle, l’utilisation des méthodes contraceptives est de 29.5% et 73% d’accouchements ont été assistés par un personnel qualifié. Parmi les 96% des femmes qui ont consulté les services de CPN pendant la grossesse, seulement 24% ont complété les quatre visites standards de CPN.
