Au cours d’une pandémie à COVID-19 une détérioration de la situation nutritionnelle des enfants et des femmes est très probablement liée à l’augmentation des prix des denrées alimentaires, la réduction de la disponibilité alimentaire et la baisse du revenu de la population suite au ral...entissement de la vie économique. Par ailleurs, la manière dont les interventions de nutrition sont offertes doit s’adapter à l’épidémie de COVID-19 pour éviter toute propagation de la maladie à COVID-19. C’est pourquoi, ce manuel est produit par le programme national de nutrition en collaboration avec le cluster nutrition et les autres partenaires pour donner des orientations sur la meilleure façon de poursuivre la mise en œuvre des interventions de nutrition en veillant aux mesures de prévention et contrôle de l’infection.

La République Démocratique du Congo connait une fragilité sociale issue de divers conflits communautaires qui ont déstabilisés le tissu économique du pays sans épargner le secteur éducatif depuis plusieurs années. In 2019, the Global Fund’s 6th Replenishment raised more than $USD14 billion to fight HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Just two years later, the world has changed significantly. For the first time since the Global Fund’s founding, ...in 2020 the world lost ground in the fight against HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The Global Fund moved quickly to support countries to respond to COVID-19 and its impact on the three diseases, repurposing and leveraging additional funding to support urgent needs and adapt programs. Despite those efforts, the need for action to resume progress in the fight against HIV, TB and malaria has never been greater.
The world faces a choice.

After years of relative calm, Zimbabwe has been grappling with a cholera outbreak since 12 February 2023. This resurgence is not an isolated incident, as 10 more countries (Malawi, Mozambique, Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zambia, South Sudan, Burundi, Tanzania and South Africa) in Eastern and Southern ...Africa are facing similar challenges with cholera an acute watery diarrhea.
To date, a total of 13,176 suspected cases and 1,543 confirmed cases have been reported.This stark reality underscores the need for continued coordinated action to control the spread of this preventable disease.
