Se calcula que en 2015 había en el mundo 17,8 millones de mujeres de 18 años o mayores infectadas por el VIH, cifra que equivale al 51% de los adultos que viven con VIH. Las adolescentes y las jóvenes se ven especialmente afectadas; en 2015 constituían el 60% de los individuos entre 15 a 24 año...s de edad que vivían con el VIH, representando también el 58% de las infecciones por el VIH de adquisición reciente en los jóvenes de ese grupo de edad. En muchos países las mujeres que viven con el VIH carecen de acceso equitativo a servicios de salud de buena calidad, y enfrentan muchas formas de estigma y discriminación que se entrecruzan. Más aun, estas mujeres son desproporcionadamente vulnerables a la violencia, en particular las violaciones de sus derechos sexuales y reproductivos.

As part of our commitment to the fight against NCDs, Nigeria was signatory to the political declaration at the UN General Assembly High Level Meeting on NCDs in September 2011. Thus, the purpose of this document is to develop and ensure the implementation of policies and p...rogrammes that will engender and guarantee a healthy lifestyle and quality health for all Nigerians. The core sections include background, scope of the policy, policy goal, strategic thrusts for implementation, programme management and coordination, roles of stakeholders and partnership coordination. It is expected that with the adoption of this policy, the control and prevention of NCDs and their associated risk factors will be well integrated at all levels of government and health care delivery system in Nigeria. This policy document is therefore a stepping stone towards the development of guidelines for the prevention and management of NCDs.

La pandémie causée par le coronavirus s’est propagée au Niger le 19 mars, date de la notification du premier cas. A la date du 21 juillet 2020, le pays avait enregistré 1 113 cas, dont 1 1018 guéris, 26 sous traitement et 69 décès. Selon l’analyse des données effectuée par le Ministère... de la santé publique, la pandémie a atteint un pic le 9 avril avec 69 cas enregistrés en une journée pour ensuite connaitre une courbe descendante. Cette tendance se maintient en dépit de la progression de la pandémie à Zinder, ainsi que dans les régions d’Agadez et de Diffa, qui étaient, jusqu’au 30 avril 2020, les seules régions épargnées par la COVID-19, et le fait que 169 agents de santé, soit 18,4% de cette catégorie de personnel, figurent parmi les cas confirmés.

Différents outils ont ainsi été développés : Grandir Info, lettre d’informations sur le VIH pédiatrique ; Grandir Actu, veille bibliographique des articles scientifiques sur le sujet ; des brochures sur l’observance et l’annonce du diagnostic ; des Fiches Pratiques et des modules de formation spécialisée en nutrition ou en accompagnement psychologique de l’enfant et de l’adolescent.Chaque publication est relue et validée par un Comité Technique constitué de référents spécialisés du Nord et du Sud, reconnus pour leurs compétences dans le domaine. Ce guide est une version augmentée et enrichie du manuel publié par le pro-gramme Grandir en 2010. Il constitue une actualisation des recommandations de l’OMS et une capitalisation des connaissances pratiques accumulées depuis le début du programme en 2006 dans le domaine du VIH pédiatrique en Afrique.

This cross-sectional survey was conducted in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan in October 2016 to evaluate the local urban food environment. It characterized the vending sites, the food offered and the nutri...tional composition of the industrial and homemade street foods available in these settings. It also described the nutritional composition of ready-to-eat foods sold in supermarkets and at vending sites in food courts. The policy implications of the findings are outlined.

The study was conducted within a bilateral partnership between the World Health Organization and the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (WHO registration 2015/591370 and 2017/698514). The study was funded through a voluntary contribution of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
