This six-day training is intended for case managers/community health volunteers/field supervisors who help households affected by HIV in India.
Wound care is a regular component of the package of care we offer in the majority of our health ...medbox">care facilities and represents a high volume of activities. The current practices in MSF projects are often based on the habits of each individual supervisor, the wound care material we offer is partly outdated and does not allow optimal wound care. There is a need for standardization of wound care and it needs to be evidence based as much as possible, taking into account the realities of the field.
The scope of this document is to guide the caregiver in the wound care process. It does not intend to provide in depth information on wound healing or physiology. There is a wide range of literature and background information available for this purpose in the references and in the list of extra reading

This policy will serve as a cornerstone from which to address the accessibility of Community Health (CH) services and to encourage its integration with services for HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health...n>, and other development initiatives. This policy has been developed at an opportune moment, as Rwanda is embarking on the introduction of community-based provision of family planning and non-communicable disease (NCD) services through Community Health Workers (CHWs). These efforts are anticipated to trigger a paradigm change in the way community health services are provided and accessed in order to contribute towards a healthy and productive Rwanda for all.

Health sector reforms not only require attention to specific components but also a supportive environment. In low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), there is still much to be done on ensuring that people receive prioritized ...-to-highlight medbox">healthcare services. Despite LIMCs spending an average of 6% of their GDP on health, there have been minimal impacts compared to high-income countries. Health sector reform is a gradual process with complex systems; hence, the need for a vision and long-term strategies to realize the desired goals. In this chapter, we present our proposal to advance universal health coverage (UHC) in LMICs. Overall, our main aim is to provide strategies for achieving actual UHC and not aspirational UHC in LMICs by strengthening health systems, improving health insurance coverage and financial protection, and reducing disparities in healthcare coverage especially on prioritized health problems, and enhancing a primary care-oriented healthcare system.
