Elle répond également à la demande croissante des pays membres régionaux (PMR), qui souhaitent que la Banque les aide à combler les lacunes en matière d’infrastructures sanitaires nationales, que la crise de la COVID-19 et d’autres crises sanitaires ont mises en évidence.
