A la suite de l’annonce de la confirmation de deux premiers cas de COVID-19 en Haïti le 19 mars par le Ministère de la santé, le gouvernement a entrepris des mesures telles que la réduction des heures de travail, la fermeture des frontières Haïtiano-dominicaines pour le transport de personne...s (le transport de marchandises est maintenu) ou la fermeture des usines textiles et des écoles. Certains marchés ont vu une augmentation massive de la clientèle, qui dans certains cas s’est traduite par une augmentation modérée à importante des prix entre le 17 et le 24 mars, allant jusqu’à 28 % d’augmentation pour le pois noir au Cap-Haïtien.

FANTA provided technical support to Haiti’s Ministry of Public Health and Population for the development of national guidelines and an accompanying flipchart, which provide practical solutions to nutrition problems for people living with HIV, as well as guidance on nutritionally managing the sympt...oms of HIV, the side effects of antiretroviral drugs, and opportunistic infections. The guidelines provide recommendations for well-balanced diets for people living with HIV, along with instructions for quality nutrition counseling of adolescents and adults living with HIV, HIV-positive pregnant and lactating women, and caregivers of children exposed to HIV. The guidelines also address food insecurity in HIV-affected households.

3 - Enfin, analyser l’ensemble du système de gestion des données existant et proposer des améliorations du système depuis la phase de collecte, de saisie, de traitement et d’analyse des données jusqu’à la valorisation des résultats et la dissémination des rapports.

It shows that understanding the ways in which urbanization is shaping food systems will require using a rural-urban continuum lens.
