The COVID-19 pandemic has put significant pressure on health systems all around the world. The drastic measures established to contain its spread are creating serious impediments to economic activity (including agrifood systems) and, consequently, to livelihoods and food security and nutrition.

Injury Pr...evention and Environmental Health addresses the risk factors and presents updated data on the burden, as well as economic analyses of platforms and packages for delivering cost-effective and feasible interventions in these settings. The volume's contributors demonstrate that implementation of a range of prevention strategies-presented in an essential package of interventions and policies-could achieve a convergence in death and disability rates that would avert more than 7.5 million deaths a year.

La guía rápida del proceso de TAP está diseñada para ayudar a los grupos de trabajo de TAP a nivel nacional a aplicar un enfoque de estudio del comportamiento para formular intervenciones apropiadas y factibles a fin de comenzar a combatir la resistencia a los antimicrobianos en sus contextos. La guía proporciona un panorama general de la resistencia a los antimicrobianos y el proceso de TAP, y conduce a los usuarios a lo largo de cinco etapas para evaluar la factibilidad, adquirir una comprensión referencial de los problemas, priorizar los temas que han de tratarse, formular estrategias y ejecutar y evaluar las intervenciones. This position paper supersedes the 2016 publication, “Malaria vaccine: WHO position paper-2016.”1 It includes the updated WHO recommendations on the wider use of the RTS,S/AS01 vaccine for the reduction of malaria morbidity and mortality in ...children living in areas of moderate to high malaria transmission. It also incorporates findings from the evaluation of the WHO-coordinated Malaria Vaccine Implementation Programme (MVIP), recommended by SAGE and MPAG in 2015, and from additional studies since 2015.
This paper does not include findings on vaccine efficacy in infants first vaccinated at 6–12 weeks of age. Because of the lower vaccine efficacy observed in this age category, WHO did not recommend pilot implementation or RTS,S/AS01 vaccine introduction for these young infants.
