Making sure that people with disabilities get the right health care to do with their bodies, sex, relationships and having children during COVID-19...
About this information
This information is about health care for people with disabilities to do with their bodies, sex, relationships and having children.
For example, the health care might help people to give birth or have safer sex and relationships.
This information is about making sure that people with disabilities can get this health care during COVID-19.
And when other big problems happen in the world.
People with disabilities have a right to get this healthcare like everyone else.
But they are often left out.
And COVID-19 has made things worse.
This information is about what countries and organizations should do now for people with disabilities.
We found out what many people with disabilities thought first.
People in this document means women and girls, men, and boys with disabilities.
It also means people with disabilities who are not the gender that people said they were when they were born.
For example, someone may be told they are a boy because of how their body looks.
But that is not who they really are. They might be a girl. Or they might not be a boy or girl.

The State of the World’s Children 2013
This strategy has been developed with a view to managing climate-induced internal displacement (CIID) in a comprehensive and rights-based manner. It is part ...x">of the action plan for the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) to implement the Sendai Framework.
The strategy focuses solely on internal displacements caused by climate-related disasters and not cross-border displacement issues. It aims to chalk out a comprehensive strategy covering all three phases of displacements: (i) pre-displacement; (ii) displacement phase; and (iii) post-displacement. The multidimensional characteristics of the Strategy require participation of all relevant ministries with a target to integrate the concerns of CIIDPs into the existing programmes of all these ministries.

Vol 5 No 27 | ISSN 2039-2117 (online) | ISSN 2039-9340 (print) | The rate of sexual victimization of mentally retarded children is alarming and it goes unnoticed because the perpetrators could be pa...rents, step- parents, relatives, well-respected individuals by family members, neighbours and educators. Drawing from labelling theory that the mentally retarded have low IQ, majority of perpetrators tend not to get arrested because of lack of evidence. Research indicates that educators struggle to identify the psychological, behavioural and physical symptoms of sexual abuse owing to their limited training. Having employed systematic review as methodology, this research study found that mentally retarded children are prone to HIV/AIDS, PTSD and feelings of helplessness owing to uninvolvement of parents, dysfunctional communities, poverty and their inability to differentiate between abuse and affection. Based on the findings, the recommendations are that: (1) extensive training for professionals, families and community members be executed to protect children with intellectual disability. Furthermore, the rights of the mentally retarded children must be respected in the court of law when reporting sexual abuse.

The escalation of the war in Ukraine began on 24 February 2022, causing thousands of civilian
casualties; destroying civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, and triggering the fastest-
growi...ng displacement crisis in Europe since World War II. The demographic profile of Ukraine,
combined with the implementation of martial law and conscription policies, led to an awareness
of gender- and age-related factors within the regional humanitarian response that recognised
the pre-crisis situation of persons of all genders and diversities and how the war and subsequent
regional crisis were compounding the risks that they face.

- Increase awareness among governments and their partners of the safety and security needs of persons with disabilities
- Collect data that is disaggregated by disability
- Ensure that new construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction are accessible to persons with disabilities
